Formed in 1997 and comprised of Matt Thiessen, Matt Hoopes, and Dave Douglas, Relient K has grown to be a fixture on the CCM scene, selling over 365,000 copies of their previous two albums. Renowned for their combination of hilarious rebel attitude and heart-on-sleeve earnestness, they are now taking their brand of music to a much-wider audience, courtesy of a recently-signed distribution deal with Capitol Records. The students who meet here to study together and hang out come from different backgrounds. Some have more in common than others, but there is one thing we all have incommon…we’re needy. At some point in lifemost people recognize that their life isn’t what it should be, nor is it what it could be. I’m not talking about the times when we think more money would make life better, or thinking that having a significant other would solve all of our problems. What I’m talking about is when we realize that there is more to life than money and relationships. We are all created with a deep need to be connected with God, and for that matter to be connected with others. At Faith Pres our hope is to see students connect with God and connect with others.
